A Much-Needed Break by Soap-Committee
A Much-Needed Break
Jinny, the tiny but driven werewolf + Mia, the brainless but devoted Cat-Chimera: takin' a cuddly break from those crazy vampires and their drama.  A poster for Anathema!

Did I ever actually post about Volume 3's release? D:  You can now find the print version, which is still ahead of the webcomic, at Inkblazers and Lulu.  Inkblazers's run is (I believe?) limited, but their book quality is fantastic and I highly recommend their shop!
[STATUS: 10/10/14 Closed for now] Updated example art; no longer stuck in 2008!]

Color doodle: $15 (a quickie)
Art Card: $28 (a mini-original for those who don't want to spend money on a bigger Copic-colored piece! 2.5x3.5", price includes shipping)

Backgrounds: The below illustration prices apply to just the character being featured; adding a background usually runs anywhere from 30 (for a simple scene, a small room or table or open area) to 80 (for a fullblown background - cities, elaborate machine structures, etc).

Commission Rate Table-10-2014 by Soap-Committee

$60 per inked page (600 DPI on 9x12" paper or smaller, great for manga/digest-sized printed books)
  • Tones: Add $10 dollars
  • Dialog and SFX: Add $5 dollars
$100 per inked page (anywhere above 9x12" to 11x17" paper (also 600 DPI), ideal for floppy issues or trade paperback-sized books)
  • Tones: Add $15 dollars
  • Dialog and SFX: Add $5-10 dollars

  • When you're ready, send me an email at SOAPERLY -at- GMAIL.COM with a description of the character and which of the above listed commissions you're looking for.
  • Payment is preferred up-front, or if you're not sure, I'll accept a $10 deposit for the preliminary sketching stage.  My turnaround time is always within the same month that full payment is made.
  • If you can link to examples of my art that you like, this often helps me narrow which "look" or "mood" to put into your commission.
  • I start out by sending you a sketch, so you can request changes in the pose, clothing, etc.  Before proceeding with the real work, any remaining payment owed must be made!  After your picture is complete, you'll get the full-resolution image, and a smaller version for web-viewing and sharing.

Amya Chronicles - Volume 1 by Soap-Committee
Amya Chronicles - Volume 1
The cover to the upcoming first volume of Amya Chronicles!  Encompassing 5 years and over 350 pages of dedicated comic work, it's hugely exciting to see this book happen, fancy foil cover and all.

If you've enjoyed our work, please, lend your support to Amya's kickstarter.  We're almost halfway to our goal, but we need your help!
This has been a fantastic year and I ought to make note.

To start, I'll be joining the Amya team at Otakuthon as their invited guest, marking two big firsts for me: my first con as an invited guest, and my first trip outside the US!  We'll have Amya books and (I expect) the usual awesome merchandise, and I'll have some prints, original art, and commissions.  I can't even express how excited I am to be seeing Savannah again, and to be meeting Philip for the first time after working with him for seven years!

On a completely different note: I appear to have fully recovered from two, nearly three years of really awful health issues, which has allowed me the time and energy to draw more fun-art again - refilling a serious artistic void in my life.  It took about 6 months of slowly introducing a drug into my system last winter, but thanks to these two pills a day I no longer feel like I'm wearing a cracking, fever-inducing suit of fire skin all over, and I'm no longer being taken out of commission two out of every four weeks.  I've spent more time outside this summer than the last three years combined.

Anyway! I'd love to hear from anyone who's also attending Otakuthon.  Looking forward to late August!

Soap-Who? Hey! My name is Rebecca Gunter-Ryan, and I work freelance for online comics and games. Hope you enjoy my work!
Other blogs/sites? COMMISSIONS!

-I always at least read DA comments, though I can not always make the time to properly respond. Sometimes you'll get a reply some two or even three months late, so be warned! Emails go answered a lot more promptly.
