Tried a different digital painting technique instead of straight-painting stuff on one layer:

Step 1: Lay down flat colors
Step 2: Multiply Layer desired shade
Step 3: Blend together a lot or something

Multiply layers are awesooome

Pirate rabbit is awesome. Didn't know they had those in Tampa. (Yes, yes, you can groan at my pay on "buccaneer" now.)

Absolutely love the perspective here, especially the way you've rendered POV depth. If the commissioner had paid for a background this would be textbook stuff.

Also, I hope she can wash that blood out of her hair!

Great piece! I love the detail in the outfit, and the angle really makes it interesting. Lovely textures and color as well.
