A poster for Anathema starring Angela in her two forms. Despite her advanced age, Angela Christensen has not actually aged beyond childhood. She can turn into an adult to be better taken seriously, but how exhausting! Not to mention that such Child Vampires are offensive to others of her kind - really, ensuring you look like an adult before feeding is the "polite" thing to do.
Also...poor Angela. Usually the smartest mind in the room, but her only willing companions are a god-fearing housemaid-turned-vampire, a girl with a cat's brain, and a grade-school werewolf. How does she keep it together?
We've got a few more sweet-looking posters on the queue, and Volume 3 will be print-ready very soon. Looking forward to a lot of cool Anathema stuff this year!
Wild roses, one of Mother Nature's anti-vampire wards, in the background...an excellent touch!
Admittedly, I was actually very ignorant of the significance of Roses in vampire lore - the intent was to find a lovely but gloomy way to bind these two forms together, and now knowing this about roses has added another entire layer to it. Thank you, I am so glad that you brought attention to this!
You're very welcome!
It perfectly illustrates her dual physical nature... really adds to her character
Thank you! I'm glad you think so, it was important to me that this really show some facets of her character.
The colors matches perfectly that's awesome (。’▽’。)
Thank you so much! Figuring out these colors ended up being the hugest trial for me, I'm glad you found something to particularly appreciate there.
'Keep it together'? Angela is just as neurotic as the others; you should know that.
Indeed! I think she successfully maintains that air of confidence and authority, but boooy, when she has a breakdown...
This is beautiful.
Thank you!
